ReplyDeleteActually, Ella, you are incorrect. As a 3rd year at the school you attend I can tell you that this is NOT a new thing. Neurology has been a first year class for awhile, and has always been taught in a short amount of time. That is why it is the only class (save fim) that you are taking. It is plenty of time to learn everything.
ReplyDeleteOur neuro block was like that too. SO STRESSFUL!!!! You'll get through it though.
ReplyDeleteAnon, I didn't realize it was taught that way before. But every professor keeps making comments about how everything is more compact this year than last year... so something must be different.
ReplyDeleteI'm a different anon from above, but several classes used to be second year classes and are now first year classes. None of this is new this year. It was changed when they changed the rotations.
ReplyDeleteYes, neuro sucks. Luckily most of second year is a repeat of first year.
I feel the pain. Our school revamped the whole darn curriculum and we are the first-year guinea pigs. If I had a nickle for every time one of our professors has started lecture with the phrase, "Well, this used to be a two hour lecture but I have been asked to condense it to 50 minutes. So this should be fun."
