Summer

Sucks. For several reasons.

1. No med school. Boo.
2. No money. Which makes free time significantly less fun.
3. Everybody else is like 22 and went home to their families.
4. My friends who have real jobs work during the day.
5. It's too hot here to do anything free outside
6. BORED BORED BORED.

  1. I also kind of found summer between 1st and 2nd year to be anti-climatic. My husband worked all the time, it was hot, and I felt like I was just wasting time. It was nice to have time to exercise and sleep..... but really I felt like since it was my last summer of freedom it should have been a lot more fun if not also a lot more productive than it was.

I think you might be onto something when you said, "All the 22 year olds have gone home." Yep. Pretty much. When you're 30, there's not point in going home. My parents and I would drive each other nuts!

  2. Lol. Totally. I can't tell you how many people (young and old) ask me if I'm going "home" for the summer. Um, hello??? I am home. I'm like "Did you move back in with your parents at age 31?" Probs not.

  3. The first thing I thought was-why don't you go home too? But the last two comments answered that. And I agree. But it will be a long summer unless you find something to do.I say do it, even if you do not get paid.I know how you hate to be bored

  4. Well, I might go visit my parents for a few days, but at their home... which has never been my home. The main point was that I'm not packing up all my shit and moving "home" for the summer like most kids. That would be ridiculous.
