I guess it does happen to everyone sooner or later, but it's still sad to hear about (and experience, I'm sure) =[
ReplyDeleteI wouldn't consider this were "first" patient. Just first person who saw pass away whom you met before. Wait till you take care of a patient for days, weeks, months, find out their life, make a difference in their life and THEN they pass because no matter what you did didn't work. THAT would be your "first" patient because you'll remember them forever. :)
ReplyDeleteDeath though common and inevitable to all, is a gloomy news to hear about. Doctors, specifically are not new to the word "death", yet dying is not the priority of medical personnel but helping people to live and heal. Thus, hearing about it, is a sad experience.
