Update
So like I said. Last 2 months has been awful. And I don't want to blog about it. I think I'm starting to feel a little better. Maybe. Hopefully.
To catch you up on the med school aspect of my life, Step One is over. Passed. Yay! Currently on my Peds rotation, which is overall a fun and happy place. Got to do some ED work in a rural area with my favorite attending recently, so that was fun.
Lately I have been contemplating life. A lot. I love being in medicine. But that is about the only thing in my life that seems to be good or that makes any sense at all. And sometimes I wonder if its enough.

Ella we live in the same city, and if you ever want to go out to lunch sometime I'd love to meet you. I am hoping to go to med school when I am older, and would love to talk to you about what it is like.
ReplyDeleteI miss reading your blog posts! Sorry to hear that it's been rough for you lately. Hang in there, life has a funny way of coming together. It'll all work out. :)
ReplyDeleteI hope you're feeling better! I'm a first year at NYU med and found your blog- love reading about your experiences and your advice for pre-meds- it's so on the mark!
ReplyDeleteI'm glad you're blogging again and I hope things are working themselves out! I just wanted to let you know that your story really inspired me when I was going through a pre-med rough patch! Keep doing what you're doing!!
ReplyDeleteMissed reading your posts a lot! I'm sorry things aren't going well and my well wishes to you at this rough time. Hopefully it will all come together soon! Congrats on passing Step 1 and good luck in your clinical years!
ReplyDeleteMen. I'm older and they still baffle me some times... but as things progress, I've found that men and the trouble they cause, are worth it; despite the pain left in their wake when they are gone. I presume it was something like that... good to see you back!
ReplyDeleteLol. Yes, They are baffling, troublesome, painful, gut wrenching, ambiguous, and some can be incredibly deceptive.... and I absolutely am not convinced they are worth it. Maybe someday.
ReplyDeleteDeception ruins absolutely everything.
ReplyDeleteYou are going to be a doc. And one day, when you're not looking, a man with integrity will show up and knock your socks off. Promise!
Thank you. Thank you.
